Teatime with Lillian

I hope to have many more tea parties with Miss Lily and her dolls. For now, I get to pretend and dream about future parties together. It's hard to imagine what she will look like when she's old enough to ask for a tea party. I have a feeling she will be a little diva.

Right now her eyes are blue when we are in the car or inside, but green when she's outside. If you hold her near a window, they are blue with green flecks. I wonder what color they will turn out?

 She's a mama's girl. I'm okay with that. :)

The picture below very much captures her personality. She wants to be a big girl and she wants to do it herself. She's impatient and stubborn like her father. ;-P

But she looks like me.

Joshua bought me a new camera. I had no idea that he ordered it until he blew the surprise. He's doesn't get that surprises are meant to be kept secret until they arrive. Either way, I was excited. It's like the feeling you get when you buy new paint or a fresh canvas, except the world is my canvas and I get to capture it in a new way with a new tool.

March 12 - A little gypsy

Miss Lily has been traveling a lot lately. About two weeks after we returned from our trip to Nashville, we had to drive back up to Nashville then up to Chicago for my grandfather's funeral.

She is such a good traveler considering the amount of time she spent in the car. A regular gypsy she is.

My grandparents left a huge legacy to this world: 7 children, 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

The amount of lives my grandfather touched with his ability to share the word of God to anyone is mind-blowing...just imagine what his children and grandchildren could do. He certainly took being a follower of Christ seriously and used any opportunity to share, whether it was sharing God's word with a real estate client or someone at a restaurant.

I wish I could be so bold. I wish I could strike up a random conversation with a client that could potentially plant a seed that could change a life. Because that is what God has called us to do.

Lillian is roughly 4 months & 3 weeks.
I cannot believe how quickly she is growing. At first, it seemed like she was going to be in newborn clothing forever! Now she is outgrowing her clothes weekly.

Just yesterday she was:
And could barely fit into her carseat. Now he head fits between the side cushions on it. :(

I start to get emotional when I think about how quickly she is changing. But I also get excited at the new things she is learning.

She smiles and laughs all of the time. She is so close to sitting up. She loves to grab things and pick things up. She started eating some solid veggies. She is learning to manipulate me with her crying, but I can tell the difference between real and fake cries.

Such a big girl now.

Sweet baby Lily - 15 weeks

I took these photos last week and never got around to posting them. She wasn't very in to this session, so I didn't get very many.

Pretty in Pink & Purple!

In honor of my favorite month, February, I decided to photograph Lillian in my favorite color purple!

Every time I take her out in public, people tell me how beautiful she is. I may be biased, but I think she's purdy, too! :-)

She's really getting down the model poses! She also has this terrible habit of sticking her tongue out every time I hold my camera in front of her...I wonder who taught her that??! ;-P

Three Months Old

My baby girl is three months old today. It's insane how quickly she is changing.

She is so innocent looking when she sleeps. I love to capture those moments. :-)

Bright, Warm and Sunshining Day...in January!

She's not the most outdoorsy girl, right now. The touch of grass against her toes made her squirm. She seemed to enjoy the warmth of the sun, but not the brightness of it shining on her face.

Her little eyebrows turn red when she's upset

Take 2 - Newborn Portraits

We had a really warm day so we thought we'd try an outdoor session. The little "Princess" cooperated for a little bit. I'm glad we did the session that day since it's freezing out now!!!

The princess and The Pea!

 Love those little lips...

 and these little feet!

Lily Pad...

First newborn session

She's not the most cooperative little model! She's definitely going to hate that I'm a photographer. :-)

Let's just say...this girl has good aim. We had quite the mess to clean up.
